A typical American suburb in the 1980s. The Platt family is living their ordinary lives until one day their entire neighborhood is torn from its familiar reality and transported to an unknown location. Instead of the neighboring houses, there is now a completely different world all around them and it quickly becomes clear that it’s not just strange, but deadly dangerous.
Then the struggle for survival begins. The family has to stick together and figure out exactly where they’ve ended up and why this happened. The film gradually reveals what’s going on, so it’s best not to know too much in advance.
