Romancing the Stone 3D 1984 follows Joan Wilder, a romance novelist whose life becomes like one of her stories. After her sister is kidnapped in Colombia, Joan travels there with a treasure map meant as ransom. She immediately gets lost in the jungle and is rescued by Jack Colton, a cynical American bird smuggler. Together they must evade ruthless kidnappers and corrupt local police to find the gem called the Stone. Their perilous journey through rivers, jungles and mountains forces the sheltered writer to discover her own courage. This adventure film blends action and comedy as Joan and Jack race to save her sister and possibly find a real-life romance of their own.
