The most interesting fact has to do with technology. The Bubble is considered the first feature-length film shot specifically for 3D screening using the Space-Vision 3D system. In 1966, this was a rather bold attempt to make 3D cinema not just a collection of spectacular shots, but part of a full-fledged science fiction story.
This Version 21 minutes longer that hasn't been seen in 60 years. Originally released with a running time of 112 minutes but several critics complained about the slow pacing so, in 1968, director Arch Oboler cut it to 91 minutes. Unfortunately, the edits were made directly to the original camera negative and the footage was discarded. It was thought to be lost until a personal copy of the original print belonging to Deborah Walley was located.
