Late night TV show host Svengoolie (and the earlier “Son of Svengoolie” iteration) was actively hosting late-night films on Chicago television in and around 1990, introducing B-movies and cult films with comedy sketches between segments. The character’s signature look—top hat, dark eye makeup, goatee, and colorful shirt under formalwear—has remained consistent for decades.
